Lingq known words: 457
This is my seventh entry on my journey to learning Korean.
I've done a few more lessons in iTalki with the same tutor that I had before. I really like her style of teaching. I think it helps me to think really hard about what she's saying. After the classes sometimes my head hurts from all of the effort my brain is putting in to remembering. I usually do 45 minute long lessons because I think that is the amount my brain can take before competely dying.
I am going to continue to take more lessons with her. I like the comprehensive input/immersive input style of learning. She takes notes while we are learning in class and I make some anki notes afterwards of what we learned. I've been going through for a few days now and am actually starting to remember some words. It turns out putting some effort into learning words does make it a bit easier to retain. I do like the idea of just tons of input to retain, but I've been finding it hard to actually retain in those situations.
Not much Lingq has been done since the last time I wrote. I'm still figuring out my learning style. Practicing different things. And putting it all together to be more efficient.
My girlfriend suggested I learn more from textbooks and flash cards than just input. I think that's a good idea. Especially since she knows 3 languages. So she's a boss and knows a lot about it.
